We thank God for keeping us alive despite the covid 19 pandemic which is ravaging the entire world. God's mercies are new every morning and great is His faithfulness towards us.

We thank the Governor of our State for his efforts to ensure that the Rivers people are safe from coronavirus. The lockdown of Obio/Akpor and Port Harcourt LGAs is for our good, hence we encourage every faithful of our great Diocese to obey the Government order to stay at home.

We thank all the clergy of our Diocese for all their sacrifices and commitment to ensure that our members are reached. We encourage you to continue the online services and for those do not have online services, please hold one hour family service on Sundays for now until the Lockdown is called off completely.

The State Government has eased the Lockdown for two days, Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th May, 2020. We advise that you should be careful as you move out to get your basic needs and return home. Don't forget to maintain physical distancing, wearing of face mask, washing and sanitizing your hands regularly.

We are praying for you everyday, and we trust the Almighty God will keep you safe from the virus. Make sure you remain prayerful and depend on God at all times because He is able deliver you.

Do not let your heart be troubled, for whatever has a beginning must also have an end. You will see the end of this virus and when the head count will be made no member of your family shall be missing in Jesus name. Amen.

May the God of peace Himself, give you peace on every side in the Name of God the father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
