As Muslims across the globe will be celebrating the Eid Fitri festival this weekend, President Buhari has said he will observe his Eid prayer with his family at home and not at any of the prayer grounds where he has over the course of the years joined different Muslims for the Eid congregational prayer.

The announcement was made known to the general public by the Senior special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, says the choice of the President is in accordance with the lockdown gauges in the Federal Capital Territory, that was set up "to spare lives and shield individuals from all risks of the pandemic."
