Who will be responsible for our ruins?

Who will built our destroyed homes?

Will our burnt plantation ever bear fruit again?

Our broken bridges might not be repaired anymore.




Will I come back to husband my wife!!

Won't my children tag another man as father!!!

What would be the fate of my aged mother!!!

If she dies,won't I miss her burial.





What about the wife that might turn widows,

The children that might become orphans,

The vulnerable ones that will turn homeless,

The luckless ones that will be slave forever.



Is not that am scared of the sword,

I won't decline when the need arise,

But have realised the real men of war are not those who fought,

But the brave ones who negotiated for peace when others clamoured for blood.
