So he headed to the Chief's house for the
chauffeur's interview. On getting go the
chief's house he knocked *knocks* from outside
"Yea,na who dey there?"A voice which
resemble an old man answered "It's me
Sir,Karis"he answered in a meek maner On
hearing the rattle from the opening of the
gate,he tried to compose himself very well after seeing the KHAKI worn by the old
gatekeeper,
which one can tell that he is an old-
soldier "Ehn ehn,wetin you want?"the
gatekeeper asked him to verify if he wasn't
a spy "Good Morning Baba,i am Karis,and I have an appointment with Chief today Sir"He
explained fully "Are you sure?"The baba
asked him again and he was
frightening his face at Karis just to be sure if
he's real "Yes sir" He replied ''See Oh boy,if i
enter and ask Chief and he tell me say he no expect anybody,consider yourself as meat
for the Dogs in this compound"The Baba said
after letting him into the compound to check

in"Baba said patting Karis at his back "Thank

house he was overshadow with thoughts

saw the Chief's bouncers and their face was
looking arab and rugged. smiling at all but he

ask one of them "Please sir i am here to see
Chief,can i sit down"He asked as he was shivering internally "Hmm" the bouncer
replied him as he pointed to the chair. After
several hours of waiting,one of the bouncers
came "Mr Man,you will have to wait for
four hours because the chief is having a
/meetings with his company's directors and while you are waiting for him,you can have
these Okay!!!"He snapped after serving
Karis with fruit and drinks "Ok Boss"he
jokingly said *the bouncer laughs* At about
7pm chief came out to attend to him *chai
chai!! See this man coming to attend to me by this time since 10am in the morning*Karis
thought as he was looking at the chief coming
in with his white-flowing agbada "Hello my
son,please i'm sorry for coming late hope
they entertained you well"the chief asked
*what rubbish,noo,i'm not angry,i be waiter here ni * ** Karis thought and said "no Sir i'm
not angry at all and they
served me well"He replied "Ok,are you not
the boy from Ehis,my personal tailor"the
chief
asked him after sitting majestically on his sofa "Yes Sir,i'm the one,Karis"he said

dressing,I never notice your mode your
dressing"the Chief smiled on seeing his

After several discussion with Karis ,the chief said. "Karis,because you are from Ehis I
won't ask you much question,but i want to
tell you that you will be the one driving me
and my Daughter"the chief explained that to
him *ahah you and your daughter,wait oo
what of your wife Karis thought of this and said "okay sir i will try my best,may *GOD
help me" "Amen,but when you are driving
my daughter dont overstep your boundary,i
hope you know what i mean by saying
that"The Chief jokingly said "Yes Sir i will not
do that"he replied "Because if you do that,you are deaaad"the chief said jokingly stressing
the word "dead" "Okay Sir,i won't"Karis
replied "So since today is friday,you will
resume work on monday and while you're
coming,make sure you pack your luggages
along with you here because you will be staying
here with us because sometimes i may want
to embark on an early journey and you will
need to drive me to the airport"Chief said
"Ahah thank you very much Sir,i'm happy
that you accepted me "No problem,when you through you can tell the guards and he will
see you off" the chief replied him "Thank you
Sir and Bye Bye Sir",he said as he was
making an attempt to go ***************
Karis left the chief's mansion happily because
it was like a magic in his eyes **Just like that**he thought as he was returning back
home at around 7pm in the nighht,and
suddenly he saw a break-down jeep parked
by the road side and as a man he decided to
check what is happening,only for him to find
a beautiful lady standing looking stranded,and from her appearance one can
tell that she is endowed with some attributes
(i knew you know what i mean) "Hello young
lady, Good evening"He greeted "Evening"The
lady answered without even looking up to
who it was because one can guess that she was busy trying to call a number "What are
you doing here in the middle of the night like
this"He asked trying to figure out the reason
"Please sir,it's this thing (she pointed to the
car) that got fault,and i don't even know what
to do to it, that why i have been calling my dad to come and pick me but his number was
not going through,...infact i'm done"The lady
explained as she was about crying

*Karis thought "It's okay,don't worry,just get into the car and i will check
what is wrong with the car,it might be a
minor problem"Karis said that as if he
knows what to do to the jeep "Is like you

broke down,i mean it cannot move and i don't know
the cause of it and moreover are you a
Mechanic??"The lady yelled at Karis "Young
lady,if you trust me please enter the car and
start it"Karis said after fixing one or two
things in the car With a mind of anger the lady entered the car and to her suprise she
heard the sound Tayunyunyun of the jeep
"Ohh my GOD you did it thank you"the lady
said bouncing up and she thanked Karis "We
thank GOD, i told you earlier on that you
should go and start it"Karis said in a truimph manner "Oh thank you very much,you
are awesome,can i have your number?"
"Hmmm
my phone is not with me"Karis lied cos he
himself knew that he no even get Torch light
"Okay,take this and call me whenever you are less busy"she hands out her
complimentary card to Karis which he
collected it "Okae,thanks,now get into the car
and go to your house because this street is
not
condusive for a lady like you"He replied her sharply "Okay, bye"the lady replied as she
zoomed off......... Karis continued
heading home,at around 8:30pm he knocked
and his friend Ehis opened the door for him
"Guy why are you just coming now,it took
you so long since morning"Ehis asked "Ehis lock up it was the chief that kept me
waiting for a long period of time"Karis said
as he jumped on the neatly prepared bed by
Ehis "Okae so what was his reply?"Ehis
asked anticipatedly "Ahah my friend i thank
you very much"Karis said as he lay helplessly like 2018 christmas chicken "Talk

easily"Karis jokingly said "Na you sabi just tell me his reply"Ehis said in a snappy
manner "What he said was that i should
resume on monday and when i'm coming i
should come along with my luggages"Karis
said smiling "That is good,so you are going on
monday ,how are we going to be seeing each other"Ehis asked "Ehis, Ehis you don dey
miss me niyen oo"Karis said jokingly
"Who dey miss you??,no dey think say you
special oo,se no be my place chief dey

having a wife cos he said something that i
will be driving him and his daughter but he
did't make mention of his wife,why?"Karis
asked
him anxiously "It's something,i myself don't know anything about"Ehis replied "Okae"
"How much did he say will be your
salary?"Ehis asked eagerly "Ahaha we never
talk about money oo,he just said that i
should come to resume work on
monday"Karis replied "Okae,well goodluck, i know that chief will treat you
well"Ehis said he was doing judgement for
the morsels of the Eba "Ehn ehn what about
his daughter because he said that i should
not go there"Karis asked again "Ahah you
better no go there like he said"Ehis shouted as he dropped the plate of Eba in his hand
"Ahah why?"Karis asked as he was afraid at

with his daughter,he do say that he want
his daughter to marry a rich guy"Ehis said

perhaps the daughter sef may not be even
beautiful"Karis said as he turns to sleep "Either she's fine or

which he rejected "So you don eat for Chief's place abi?"Ehis questioned "Yea" "

**Karis did not reply him rather he told him
good night as he snores off*** The next two
days which was on monday
morning Karis got up from the bed,he was about to take his bath and get set to the
mansion when he decided to call his mother

Morning ma, Mama:-morning my son,how is
Benin Karis :-fine ma,i just want to tell you that i have gotten a job as a chauffeur of one

wondering as he was continue dressing up
for the journey to the mansion He was about
going when he woke Ehis up notifying him of
his departure "Ehis,me don dey go o wont you see me off"Karis said as he dressed in
his native attire "So quick,it's still 6:30"Ehis
replied as he checked his time "Anyhow,i
must just go now"Karis cuts in "Okae
man,no.prob,we shall when chief
sends you to my place for his to sew his clothes "Ehis
said as he sees Karis off "Yea you're right
bro"Karis replied as he extends a handshake
to Ehis showing him a friendly punch"

journey to ths chief's Mansion and at this time the old gatekeeper let him in freely "You
can enter now, yeye boy,"the gatekeeper
said
giving Karis a hard patting on his back

se**Karis thought as he entered the house seeing the chief in trousers and jersey which
one can tell that he is just through with his
morning exercise "Good Morning Sir"He
postrated "How you Karis"the chief replied
"I'm fine sir" "Okay,your room has been
furnish so you can move there by the left hand
corner downstairs"The chief said as he was
making some exercising moves *shuuu so
this man wan give me *Boys quarter thank
GOD ooo**Karis thought "thank you sir "And
before anything,have you meet my daughter Favour?"chief asked "No sir,i will like to
meet her Sir"Karis said jokinginly
"Okay Favour!
Favour!!"the chief called and as she was
coming downstairs,Karis could not believe
