The Convener of Yoruba Ko’ya, Otunba Deji Osibogun, who addressed the small gathering through teleconferencing, said: “I am seriously worried that the Yoruba nation who used to be a haven of agricultural production in the First and Second republics now rely heavily on other parts of the country for virtually all food items including gaari and yam.

“I am currently away from Nigeria but reports from home shows that this COVID-19 pandemic has really exposed Yoruba land as a weak entity
“We have faced the reality that any nation that lacks the capacity to feed at least 70% of her citizens will lack true peace. Today, the south-west cannot feed 5% of her people which is a worry to us. The Ijinle Development Multipurpose is going to bridge the gap and with consistency, mercy and grace of God, we shall get there”, Osuntokun said

Bwahaha... I thought Yemi Kale's fake 'oluwole' statistics claimed every yoruba are billionaires and are faring better than the SS and SE? Including the Awawa gangs, 1 million gangs and thieves.

grin grin

That was how yorubas deceived themselves that they are more educated for many years until recent Jamb, WAEC and NECO statistics showed the SE and SS topping them back to back while northern states like Oyo, Osun struggled for totem pole position with war torn borno and yobe states in the north.

Don't mind them. They are more interested in what is happening in the south east and with nnamdi kanu while their people are dying of hunger. Igbos are directly taking care of igbos in this lockdown but prominent yorubas have been busy donating to the federal government while their people suffer. Make una continue. Na una go tire.

If the south west don't rise above bigotry by so many of their people, hunger will deal with their people.

You can imagine a people who wake up daily to defend fake NBS statistics on empty stomachs instead of asking relevant questions about tomorrow.

They are laying siege on every Nnamdi Kanu news instead of charting their path out of a sinking Nigeria!

A stitch in time saves nine.

They are all in Lagos claiming omo onile while they leave Fulani to take over their farm land.
Poverty in south west is really alarming, something must be done. A lot of malnourish children roaming the street hungry.
