An official of the Rivers State Government identified as Sir Cyril Amaewhule is dead.

Sir Amaewhule reportedly died from the dreadly Coronavirus.

He reportedly buried on Sunday according to NCDC guidelines.

Until his sudden demise, Sir Amaewhule was the Treasurer General and Deputy Accountant General of Rivets State.

Although the Rivers State Government was yet to confirm the death of Sir Amaewhule, a source close to the Rivers State Government says there are many other top Government Officials that have also tested positive to the Coronavirus and currently taking treatment.

Bittertruth Media reports that as at Sunday night, Rivers State had 116 cases of Covid-19.
