Politics according to a renowned scholar named HAROLD LASWEL, is a science of who gets WHAT, WHEN and HOW. Politics in the local parlance is also believed to be a game of NUMBER. Perhaps, reason why most of our Political leaders can do anything possible to amass the electoral numbers that will catapult them to Political victory and highly revered political positions. They deploy all weapons at their disposal to actualise their vested Political interests at every material point in time in which RELIGION and ETHNICITY are not left out. Nigerian politicians accross party line have perfected the act of patronising religious leaders and institutions alike just in a desperate bid to whip up primordial sentiments and in extension curry favour and garner electoral numbers from various religion congregations through the religious leaders. Ethnicity as a weapon deployed by politicians in Nigeria across board is not also different from that of religion. Politicians have perfected the act of playing ethnic cards just to feather their nest of political glory. They do this through the aid of sychophantic traditional leaders whose sense of reasoning and objectivity have been eroded and clouded by the little crumbs they are fed with by the politicians. These two(religion and ethnicity) dangerous weapons are also manipulated by Nigerian politicians to play a divide and rule tatics which ensure the masses can never form any unity of purpose amongst themselves to the extent of challenging or distorting the warped structure of Political elites. Perhaps, poverty and illiteracy might be responsible for why the masses of Nigeria can't see beyond their feets.

The latest relaxation of temporary ban on religious activities in some states in Nigeria by wicked governors in the midst of COVID-19 gives any sensible person a lot of cause for concern. Why on earth should the governors succumb to emotional blackmail and relentless pressure from selfish religious leaders? Your guess is as good as mine.

However, one cannot deny the fact that some wonderful state Governors didn't succumb to this wicked blackmail because they are very passionate about lives of their citizens. Those Governors that succumb should know very well that posterity shall judge them accordingly. If per chance (God forbids), the spread of Covid-19 escalates beyond proportion and this country is overwhelmed, we only hope those thougtless and selfish Political leaders and religious leaders alike will own up to responsibility and won't shy away to only turn the table against the innocent ones amongst them. Patriotic and sensible Nigerians are taking note and without gloating or praying for evil day, we shall remind them of their misdeeds and thoughtlessness of grandeur.

If the Vertican city in Rome can be under lock and keys, or the holy mosques in Mecca and Medina closed, just to ensure people don't gather in multitudes all in the bid to practice their religion injuctions, then, something must be wrong with some religiosly dogmatic Nigerians.

the oppressor gave us independence but recognized us through religion, they enslaved our minds,that is why when people have headache they run to the church but the GO goes to London for medical care.

We are all black, the problem started on the 15th of January 1966, things were going fine untill that day.

the event of Jan 1966 led to diversity.
