Bus kills man who went to buy malaria drugs to treat sef

A commercial bus driver on Tuesday killed a man who was said to have gone to buy malaria drugs in a nearby chemist store to treat himself.

The deceased whose name was obtained as Sylvester Ezeoke was riding his motorcycle home when he was crushed to death .

The incident happened on the Ekwulobia/Umunze road, Nawfija, in the Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra state.

An eyewitness told our correspondent that the bus driver was on a high speed when he knocked down the deceased.

"The man just stepped out to buy malaria drugs. He complained of having malaria two days ago after attending to his farm. We were shocked to hear this sad news. It's a rude shock.

"It was learnt that the bus driver was rushing to Ekwulobia from Umunze to book a turn", the sources stated.

The Public Relations Officer, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps in the state, Edwin Okadigbo confirmed the incident to our correspondent.

He said the corpse of the victim had been deposited at Orumba General Hospital, Nawfija.

He said, "Today(Tuesday) L-300 Mitsubushi bus, white and red colour with Anambra registration number- XA-871- AJL belonging to Ekwulobia Mass Transit Company was involved in a road accident that killed one Mr Ezeoke Sylvester an indigen of Aguata Local Government Area who was riding back home alone on his QLINK black motorcycle without registration number along Ekwulobia-Umunze Road, Nawfija, Orumba South LGA.

"Preliminary investigations reveals the cause of the accident to be over spending on the part of the driver, Mr Akabuike Udensi who though not carrying any passenger at the time of the incident was rushing to Ekwulobia from Umunze to book a turn.

"Meanwhile the driver is currently at Umunze police Station.

"NSCDC, Orumba South Divisional officer Offor Innocent deployed officers to the scene of the accident, assisted FRSC in clearing the obstructions, and in controlling traffic to allow free flow of vehicles."

Condolences to His Family

That's the Mystery of Life!

No one Knows His day or Time!

I Believe the Young man had Plans to do this and that!

Our Lives are not in our Hands..

There is Thin line between life and Death.

Not all of us alive today will be alive Tomorrow..

Let's Make Hay! Let's do the Needful!

The Needful is to Accept JESUS CHRIST
