Free process automation app
TinyTask is a free Windows automation app that you can use to record and repeat actions. Using this tool, you can record simple processes and turn it into a small macro that you can use as many times as you like with just a click of a button. As the name implies, this program is small—only 35KB—yet compact. Moreover, it does not require scripting when automating processes.

No-frill task automation
TinyTask is a non-obtrusive and straightforward application. As mentioned, it does not need for you to have scripting knowledge to be able to automate a task. You only need to record what is happening on your screen and let the app create the macro. After that, you can repeat the actions anytime. The whole app consists of a single window with a very simple and intuitive interface.

All the necessary buttons are displayed in a single row, so it wouldn’t be so confusing to use, even though there is no tutorial available. There is a Help button, but its contents are not that extensive. To record a task, you simply need to click the Record button and carry out a task. The app will then capture everything you do, whether it is opening a file or folder, navigating to a website, or even more elaborate sequences. Once finished, you can stop the recording and press Play.

TinyTask will then repeat whatever you just did. If it's satisfactory for you, you can click Save and name the macro. You can then just turn to your saved macros whenever you want to repeat the tasks you recorded. You only need to click the TinyTask Play button and watch as your cursor moves on its own and carry out the process. If your media player tried to play your macros, you only need to close the player, right-click the macro file, and select TinyTask from the "Open With" option.

Configure your macros
All recordings you made can be saved to your hard drive in a REC format. You can also compile them as an EXE file, allowing you to recreate them at a later date. This option also lets you carry out your automation in the quickest way possible. The app also allows you to configure the task you wish to automate.

From the settings panel, you can establish the play speed, whether normal or fast. Moreover, you can also set it to playback a user-input number of times or make it continuous. The settings panel also has an option to hide or show tips and remember settings in INI files. You can also set the recording and playback hotkeys for easier automation.
