Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State is reportedly leading a team of governors sympathetic to the
second term ambition of Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State to Abuja to meet with President Buhari and issue threats of exiting the party unless their drowning colleague is saved, according to reliable sources.
Obaseki has reportedly completed the mobilization of the governor after his plea attempts were rejected. It is unclear if the governors will follow through with their threat to exit the party or of it is yet another gimmick being sold to the politically-naïve Obaseki who was deserted months back when his well-funded coup against the party’s National Chairman failed.

Meanwhile, at home, Godwin Obaseki has ordered Anselm Ojezua and Frank Okiye to procure
signatures from his bootlickers for the sum of N100,000.00. It was learnt that each person who signed the document received that amount allowing the governor to place an advert and also file a suit in court challenging the eligibility of Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu following his emergence today as the consensus candidate of the authentic chapter of the All
Progressives Congress in the state.
Philip Shaibu, Anselm Ojezua, and
other members of the Obaseki
Support Group are now proceeding to Abuja to perfect other plans aimed at salvaging the situation and offering Obaseki a reprieve.

Where was Fayemi and the associates when Obaseki was acting like an Oba against the elected House of Assembly members since a year ago.
