The 20 Premier League clubs have finally decided on June 17 as the season restart date but have been left with a major problem because the police are refusing to budge on neutral venues.


That means Liverpool's clash with
Everton could be switched to the Etihad on Saturday, June 20, because police fear fans will congregate near Goodison Park to be ready to celebrate the title.


Manchester City vs Arsenal and Aston Villa vs Sheffield United are the first games back on Wednesday, June 17, as they are rearranged games from before the lockdown.


City are Liverpool ’s closest challengers and if they slip up against Arsenal then Klopp’s men could clinch their first title in 30 years in their next game back.


It is understood that Liverpool and Everton, with the support of all the 20 clubs are still trying to convince the authorities to let them play in their own stadiums.
There is a further Premier League meeting next Thursday when they will vote on the outline plans.


Mirror Sport understands Thursday’s meeting was told Liverpool could have to play all of their home games away from Anfield until they win the title - and then they would be allowed back once the excitement dies down.


Another set of “high risk” fixtures - including London derbies like
Tottenham v Arsenal - could also have to be switched to different stadiums in the capital if police get their way.
