Yo right Mr Ruud. I personally support the United States in this course.

There must be an overwhelming evidence that prompts the US to call for an independent investigation.

For once, Nigerians should reason beyond sentiments & ethnical emotions.

This is so true. How I wish Nigerians leaders can abide with this advice n also all it to play out in the case of Air Peace owner Allen Onyeama too.

RuudVanNisteroy:
Nigerians should all rally around USA in enthroning accountability and adherence to established processes by insisting on an independent investigation by an external auditor.

Nigerian leaders have long grown accustomed to not been held accountable in discharging their duties:
-They have looted $600 billion dollars since 1960 without being held to account.
-Disobey court orders.
-Order arrests of critics that speak against corruption and misgovernance.
-Circumvent laid down processes for procurement and employment.

Here are the benefits that will be derived from the investigation:

- If Akinwumi Adesina is absolved by the external inevstigator, the stereotype that all Nigerian's are crooks will be proven wrong.
- It will boost Adewumi personal and political capital and put him in a position as the front runner for the 2023 election.

Let us all rally around the Americans and support an independent investigation.

If you're hands are clean, no investigation or panel can find you guilty.
Exactly you can tell this to Sadden Hussein in his grave.

The investigation has been carried out by the appropriate body created to so.

... And he was found not guilty. So the call for an independent investigation is a waste of time.

RuudVanNisteroy:

America played a major role in the pushing for democracy we have today, that has been abused by the politicians. They will continue to play a role to enthrone transparency in the expenditure of the returned Abacha loot and in pushing for human rights in Nigeria.
America played no significant role in enthroning democracy in Nigeria or anywhere else for that matter.
In fact America has been a force of destabilization in many places-- Iraq, Libya, DR Congo, Guatemala, etc.

You people are talking as if you don't know USA. Okonjo could have been world Bank president if not for America who brought an American medical doctor in to become wb president.

He has nothing to worry about then. The independent investigation will also find him not guilty.

The point is she is a Nigerian and not American! They preferred their own candidate, Dr. Kim

The USA I know is doing more good than harm. If not for America, many Africans won't even have a voice today.

How did America give citizens of any African country a voice?
America that messed up Congo, Angola, America that supported apartheid in South Africa?
