As the world battles with the novel corona virus pandemic, the Akwa Ibom State government as part of it efforts to curtail community transmission of the disease unveiled a 300 bed space international center for disease control and Isolation center in the state in just 41 days. This was made known by Akwa Ibom Peoples Democratic Party via a tweet on it verified twitter handle on Friday May, 29. The tweet reads: "Akwa Ibom State unveils 300 bed space international center for disease control and Isolation center in the state in just 41 days". The state, according to the Nigeria Center For Disease Control(NCDC), has a total number of 45 confirmed cases of corona virus, of which 14 have been discharged, 2 person died of the virus and 29 active cases. source: https://insidenaija.com.ng/2020/05/30/akwa-ibom-state-govt-unveils-300-bed-space-capacity-in-41-days/
