Bayern Munich emphatically whitewashed Fortuna Dusseldorf 5-0 to remain on course for the Bundesliga title on Saturday.

In what appears a one-sided game, goals from Benjamin Pavard, Robert Lewandowski struck twice for Bayern, Alphonso Davies and Mathias Jorgensen (og) saw Hans-Dieter Flick’s German side go ten points clear at the top of the table with little resistance offered.

Eintracht Frankfurt pushed themselves further away from trouble at the bottom of the table with a 2-1 win over Werder Bremen.

Andre Silva opened the scoring for the visitors when he converted from the penalty spot following a foul by Marin Pongracic.


Kevin Mbabu equalised for Wolfsburg in the 58th minute when he headed in before Frankfurt snatched all three points late on.

Daichi Kamada made it 2-1 five minutes before the end while they also finished with 10 men when Lucas Torro was shown a second yellow card.

Hertha Berlin also took three points from their clash with Augsburg thanks to goals from Javairo Dilrosun and Krzysztof Piatek.

Hoffenheim claimed a 1-0 victory against Mainz with Ihlas Bebou scoring the only goal of the game.
