Government support is good thing but not an excuse. When an Engineer Narayana Murthy and his friends initiated their dream Tech Startup in 1981, They were withheld by then Notorious Red-tape of Socialist system of India. Back in 80s you have to have a License fo having a computer and even a Telephone. Did these things stopped Indian startups? Remember by 1990s, when India reformed, Terminated the License system, INFOSYS was already a known giant in Silicon Valley, London and Frankfurt. What we do is, blame government for everything. rationalhuman:I can't believe less. The emphasis is on the investor. How do they see the system? Political risk comes to play If every start up can have access to adequate funding and faith of investors to his idea, alot will be done here. The venture capitalists and private equity firms from western world to china comes to mind |

Correct, Have you noticed there is a difference in Behavior/mentality of established rich Business owners here Vs India, China, Europe and US? They believe in giving back to society and students. I was quite amazed to see the Initiatives, Freebee donations done by Chinese and India Rich Business owners. Jack Maa is donating 0.5% of its money to few startups. In India Tata is funding more then 23 researches in various labs. Last year Owner of Tech Mahindra announced usd 25 Million for top 4 startups in New age Battery development and IOTs. Reliance industries is funding 6 university labs for Terra-bit Network development. In this continent you can never see any such thing from Dangote alike, they will donate few water tanks or food rations to come on front page along along with politicians. I dont know its greed of the black man or something else, we just cant comprehance such ideas.. Avidcolz: |

rationalhuman:My dear it is really disheartening. The rich here see the up coming guys as a treat or something. They can never support u. Even when u provide them services they will delay ur pay just to kill your dream. They are even worst than govt just that govt is in charge of common resource. We really need re orientation. But I believe as generation face out, new ones will get their ass together |

Benevento:How will brain think or work in such a harsh environment as ours with very hostile neighbours who never wish you well. Of course every effort is made to frustrate and quench that little light that wanted to illuminate Africa, but since no human hands can envelope the moon so will that little light shine one day! |
