REV. UCHE IBEABUCHI SALUTES PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI

Just after the confirmation of 37 member nominees into the federal character commission, one of the nominees confirmed, Rev. Uche Ibeabuchi spoke to news men in Abuja the nation's capital. He thanked President Buhari for finding him worthy to serve in the commission.

In his words; It is with great pleasure and humility that I thank president Muhammadu Buhari for finding me worthy to serve as a member of the federal character commission. It is an honour and privilege to accept this task, so I cannot thank him enough for providing this wonderful opportunity and I won't take it for granted. I know it requires significant commitment and I'm ready to contribute meaningfully.

Rev Ibeabuchi also extended his appreciation to the APC family within and outside Anambra state especially the stakeholders who supported his appointment. He thanked Chief (Dr) George Moghalu for his guidance and support all the years he served under him in the party, All progressive Congress. He also thanked his family for their moral support and seek more from them.

Rev. Uche Ibeabuchi is from Anambra state and among the 37 persons confirmed on Tuesday 2nd June 2020 by the 9th Senate to serve as members of the federal character commission.

The Federal Character Commission (FCC) is a Federal Executive body established by Act No 34 of 1996. The provisions of the 1999 Constitution in Sections 14 and 153 consolidated the establishment of the FCC for operation in a democratic system of Government. The commission is saddled with the responsibility to promote, monitor and enforce compliance with the principles of the proportional sharing of all bureaucratic, economic, media and political posts at all levels of government.
