Protesters have clashed with police across the United States over the death of unarmed black man George Floyd.

Derek Chauvin, the former police officer filmed kneeling on Floyd’s neck before he later died in police custody, has been charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter.

Mr. Floyd’s relatives were disappointed by the decision not to seek first-degree murder charges, while many have called for the other police officers involved to face charges.

President Donald Trump changed his tone on the issue, saying he 'understands the hurt' and that 'the family of George is entitled to justice'.
