Bro I'm really grateful to God I'm awake to see your post but my problem is I don't have a laptop because my former one got spoilt and it could not be repaired.I don't even have data sef as I am now.I am using the freebasics site to access nairaland.Im just praying I get a job that will give me cash to get a laptop and help myself no matter how little because a for me to buy a laptop with a conductor's job will take a long time.Im just frustrated like others. All my savings were wiped off.See me seeking for funds to seek at this time.Things are just complicated due to the state of things and ncdc. The only thing I can do is try to search and hope.Thank you for this ideas of making money online sir.God bless.

I understand your restrictions.

When I first started working, I didn't have a laptop either, and I was in school. I used to borrow laptops from a friend or room mate, sometimes, I would type on my phone. At a point, I convinced my father I was making actual money, from writing, so, he let me borrow his laptop, and I used it for almost three years, before I could finally afford to buy myself a laptop.

The money will not be quick, and you may not be able to start with all the necessary gadgets and stuff, but if you have a niche, find a way to monetize it, even if you have to improvise.

Who else noticed that South Africa has exploded with this Covid-19? Africa recorded its highest figure of confirmed cases in the last 24hours as well as highest deaths!
*World records highest figure of confirmed cases in 24hrs = 129,000+
*South Africa 3,200+ with 56 deaths in one day.
*Brazil 31,000+ with highest deaths of 1,420+
*Mexico 3,900+ with 1,000+ deaths in one day.
*India 9,500+ with 275 deaths highest so far in 24hrs.
*And the US records another bleak milestone of 110,000+ deaths so far.
*Africa recorded 7,000+ plus 156 deaths.
*Ethiopia records 150 highest thus far in 24hrs.

Now, when some say nobody cares anymore, the truth is that a lot of people, if not everyone, still care. If we don't we will not keep up this late at night to check with NCDC.
And truly, some who say so do not really understand what is going on outside. A neighbour suspecting malaria went to a government hospital today. Prior to this pandemic, the hospital used to be so busy that to get ones turn would take several hours. But not so today. Because of the scanty attendance, in a few minutes she was out, not after answering multiple suggestive questions from doctors and nurses who were maintaining a kilometre distance from her.
But on getting to the pharmacy outside of the hospital, she found out that she had to join a queue because of the crowd of customers.
When she returned, she became sober, lamenting this pandemic has really affected a whole lot of things, people patronize the pharmacy more than they do hospitals these days.
When we say we don't care it is only because it has not hit close to home. And naturally humans don't care about illness unless they or someone close becomes ill. Why is it so? It is because when God created humans, they were not to experience poor health if not for the disobedience of our first parents - Adam and Eve. So sickness is a strange phenomenon to humans, we were not created to ever fall ill and we will naturally not care when we are sound in health.
.
Great write up. Some people are just trying to sound 'hip' saying they don't care and other things. I mean NCDC twitter account rose to 1 million followers, how did that happen if people stopped caring grin. They don't get huge likes again though grin.

I noticed some of the most populous countries are feeling the heat now, India, Pakistan, Brazil, Mexico. With South Africa also coming up(though their recovery rate is stable), I wonder what looms for Nigeria. Because with our low testing capacity we're pretty much guaranteed to keep having cases till the end of the year.

What do you think about nairaland developing an online marketing app to compete with jiji?
I think it will go a long way to better Nigeria online marketing especially when it will be competitive with "jiji", the Nigeria no. 1 online marketing store.
One of the advantage is that it will grow fast especially when some of its traffic will be generated from nairaland forum and will be very competitive

For the purpose of tomorrow, let me advice you.

The best form of tutorial, is homeschooling. It is surprising, that you can't find work in this period, because a lot of schools are out, but kids still have to prepare for WAEC and such. Lockdown was eased weeks ago, if you had a student or two you could homeschool, money would not have been scarce.

If you can write projects and such, advertise online for clients. There are lots of ways to make money off the internet, take advantage of technology, the money from web work does not seize, even in a pandemic. I have been working virtually everyday since this lockdown
I will like to know more about the internet stuff

How to know if the heavy machinery job is right for you!
Ask yourself...
• Could you operate heavy machinery?
• Can you work as part of a team on a busy job site?
• Do you have good communication skills?
• Do you like working outdoors and constant change of environment?
• Can you listen and follow instructions?
• Do you have good judgment?
If the answer to these questions is yes, then a career as a Heavy Equipment Operator could be right for you.
Heavy equipment operators operate heavy equipment used in the construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, airports, gas and oil pipelines, tunnels, buildings and other structures, in surface mining and quarrying activities and in material handling work.
They are employed by construction, pipeline and logging companies, and by heavy equipment contractors.
Duties
As a Heavy Equipment Operator, your duties may include the following: Operating heavy equipment such as Cranes, Excavator, Forklift, Payloader, Back-hoes and Bulldozers to lift, move or place equipment or materials, Inspecting, cleaning, lubricating and refilling equipment.
Heavy equipment operators use different types of equipments: cranes, excavator, forklift, payloader, back-hoes and bulldozers back-hoes, bulldozers, front-end loaders and graders. Some operators work with several types of equipment while others choose to specialize:
Work Condition
The standard work week for heavy equipment operators is 40 hours (8 hours a day, 5 days a week). As with many careers in construction, there are peak periods that will require you to work overtime. The number of additional hours you work each week depends on the construction sector and region you work in, and will vary from one job to the next.
As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will work outdoors on construction sites. You will work closely with other equipment operators and with ground crew.
As with all careers in construction, safety is the top priority. Heavy equipment operators are trained to work safely and take special precautions to protect against injury.
Training and Certification
Even where certification is voluntary, it is still recommended, as it tells employers and other workers that you are a skilled professional and it also helps you get jobs. To keep their skills current, Heavy Equipment Operators must keep up with new technologies by reading and speaking with others in the field.
Enroll for our next batch of Equilog Professional Heavy Duty Machinery Training and look forward to a Prosperous and life changing 2020.

Stop testing people..... This virus is being contacted through the test kits.....these same kits are from China, I could remember when the death rate stood at 5 for close to three weeks until the test kits from China came in less than 3 weeks we had more than 150 deaths. Nigeria is so dull to accept any help from China.

Whatever it may lead to it will largely depend on the number of recoveries at that milestone. If the recoveries are substantial the statusquo may be undisturbed. Although I don't see us not hitting that figure soon, going by the interplay of so many factors.
.

The rate at which ours increases every day is disturbing. It has become more political
