It's official; Biden would run against Trump for the US 2020 presidential election.  Joe Biden announced that he had secured the Democratic delegates needed to run the presidential race.

The former Vice president announced on Twitter. “Folks, tonight we secured the 1,991 delegates needed to win the Democratic nomination,”
“I’m going to spend every day fighting to earn your vote so that, together, we can win the battle for the soul of this nation.” I doubt if Joe can defeat Trump in November.

It was no surprise to see Biden come out as winner since his challenger Vermont Senator  Bernie Sanders dropped out of the race. Thereafter, Sanders had declared his support for Biden. Biden surpassed the 1,991 votes needed to win the race on Friday. It comes at a time when the nation is experiencing one of its most difficult times in history.
