As shocking it may seem, a 38-year-old man identified as Simon Emeka, has been arraigned before a Chief Magistrate court in Makurdi, Benue state, for allegedly raping his 7-month-old daughter.

Simon was reported to have been engaged in the act since when his daughter "Prosper" was three months old.

Prosper's mother, Favour Emeka, had narrated the issue to one Mrs. Josephine Habba whom she met at a hospital in Makurdi. The latter had taken up the matter and reported at the Nigerian Police Force "" Division, Makurdi, Benue state.
