|Ambazonia State: Presidency debunks news! by nisai: 3:52am On Jun 07, 2020|
The presidency has debunked reports in The Guardian and This Day Newspapers that the United Nations Organisation (UNO) would on July 10 carved a new country out of Nigeria and Cameroun.
Debunking the news, Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital and New Media, Tolu Ogunlesi, said the news is fake and fabricated.
He disclosed this on his twitter account @toluogunlesi on Saturday.
His tweets read:
“Been waiting to see @GuardianNigeria
take down this fake story about a new country being formed by UN, to which Nigeria will be ceding LGAs. The ‘Ali Treki’ the story alleges made a “demand” in 2020 actually died in 2015. Entire story fabricated. Shame on the Guardian.

@THISDAYLIVE also fell for the fabrication, but have now deleted the story UN to Announce New State Carved out of Nigeria, Cameroon July 10 – THISDAYLIVE
This Day pulled down earlier published story
So many red flags about the story. You’re claiming the UN is carving a new country out of Cameroon & Nigeria, but there’s not a single reference or mention on any of the UN’s official channels. Nothing either from the two concerned Governments, for what should be such a big deal!
There’s a ‘debunk’ that appears on this site. Does anyone know if this is AIT’s official website or an impersonating site?
Sadly the debunk itself doesn’t really inspire confidence, as it’s based on unnamed sources: https://ait.live/foreign-affairs-ministry-and-un-office-in-nigeria-denies-knowledge-of-uno-state-of-cameroon/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
But the original story is FAKE sha
Foreign Affairs Ministry and UN Office in Nigeria denies knowledge of Uno State of Cameroon

I think the surge in the spread of fake news is getting out of hand.
Media houses and bloggers should stop feeding the citizens with fake news.

what's the difference if we stay and if we go to a new country?
will they be sharing money or will they be sharing food for you? or you won't be working again before getting your daily bread.
the easiest way to brainwash a man is to promise him heaven on earth. white men did it for Chinese, they lied to them that there is gold in America, all the ground is gold, if you wash your face in the river, you will see gold, if you climb a tree you will see gold, if you sit on the floor, you will see gold.
they were branded and brandished like pigs in San fransisco, they used and dumped them. those that died were the lucky ones.
no crime in dreaming for better things, but every good achievement comes with a price. you want revolution and you don't want to die or lay down your life, are you joking?

if guardian newspaper can't be trusted to give the real news, then, fake news has taken the place in our society.
They know ipod youths are cheap and love fake news, they give them just that to get them to click the story, buy the newspapers and scream the possibility of having biafla.

MyopicMods:As in? Is posting of information contrary to falsehood that emanated from supposed reputable newspapers synonymous with being afraid of Nigeria division?
Would it (the fake news) have granted you your Biafra if allowed to linger undebunked?
