BIBLE WIELDING TRUMP AND OUR HYPOCRISY!!

For over a week now, Media has been awashed with various opinions over Mr. Trump's religious campaign, holding a Bible graciously in front of the St. John Episcopal Church in W.DC. American people have reacted differently with some doubting whether Mr. Trump really knows what is in the Bible! America, like most countries in the World, have their religious idiocy embedded in the Constitution and are flagrantly pompous in professing to others how religious and morally upright they are. How ironic?

Mr. Trump, as a successful businessman didn't do so by being the hallmark of morality to his competitors and others, but by using any bullish tactics and intrics known and unknown to achieve his goal. He knows how to bait on people's greed, beliefs, vulnerability, and psychology to have his way and this, he has been doing all his life. Hence, when he ventured into politics, he had all he needed in his arsenals to pull through the storm on Eagle's wings by leveraging on the average white man's pseudo Supperiority Mentality and wielding a religious card as a man that wants to bring God back to the godless America by 'MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN' to garner minorities votes. Yeah, he succeeded in style. Praise God somebody!

It is not surprising seeing most of my country men and women painting a venerable picture of Trump as a righteous man and dragging the former president, Mr. Barrack Obama, through the inglorious mud of disdain and devilhood: an antichrist, illuminati etc. To them, Mr. Trump is a God sent and represented God in all his actions and inactions. How weird a thought?

No wonder in Africa and particularly Nigeria, continues to wallow in abject poverty and gaining popularity only in bad governance and corruption; churning out poor leadership and leaders in all spheres of our political lives. Nigeria prided itself as the most Religious Country and of course, the dividends of our religiousness lies in our backwardness!

A moment a politician identifies with our religion and ethnic ties, he becomes a canonized saint, sent by a God of our religious affiliations to save and serve us even when the track records of this our supposed saint is blurry and anti-people, we throw conscience and reason into the wind and make bed with our delusion: she(he) is a good Christian, she(he) is a good Muslim and this is all that is needed to become a leader in Nigeria. No substance, no objectivity and yet in our amnesiac follies, we complained and continue to complain about why we are where we are and then again, the next four or three years, the mistakes is repeated again and again! Our lord is a forgiving God! Indeed, and very forgetful!

Mr. Trump knows that November is just a few months away and amidst all that is happening politically in America, he has a lot to contend with if his second term ambition must be successful. What did he do? He pulled the ancient's card of gullibility; went to Church to purportedly pray for America and/or maybe for the departed soul of George Floyd and part of the World bearing the mark of the Cross went wild in religious hysteria: He is a righteous man, a good Christian and he is going to stop gay marriage in the world!

Gay marriage is actually the greatest problem facing Africa; the number one causes of corruption, bad governance and why kids are thrown on the streets in the name of Almagiri system of Education.

No wonder Mr. Trump has a great followership in Nigeria, where religion is the only thing that qualifies one as a leader and when one is rigged into office or uses thugs, kill to gain political power, she/he then proceeded to Church or Mosque to pray, lying prostrate on the the altar, in thanksgiving, appreciating God for his or her Victory! God given Victory(ies)!

Our hypocrisy stinks beyond Heavens and Americans, like Nigerians, shall elect Mr. Trump for a second in office to do God's will!

It wasn't Trump that licensed weapons ownership
It wasn't Trump that legalized LGBT
It It wasn't Trump supervised the killing of Eric Garner by the police
It wasn't Trump that allowed usage of Cannabis
It wasn't Trump that assassinated Muhammad Gadaffi —a known Pan-Africanist and friend to Anti-apartheid Mandela

And so on....

His actions have been moderate and I believe it's in the interest of the Americans, including the Mexico wall.
Yes, he can wield a Bible if he chooses to, more than other POTUSES

Beautiful piece!
Suddenly, america is a religious nation despite their atrocities to the aboriginals of that land and to many nations of the world.
Africa is home to most stupid people on earth and most of these people are in Nigeria; people who see you dying and they're happy because you do not belong to their religion and they please their 'god' if they put you down.
Until we place development and human value above religion and ethnicity, we will remain poor and backward because those indices is what religion is about - development and and human value!
You painted every picture of trump in business and the dubious way he muscles his way through without recourse to morality and moral rules. There's a link here; people who support trump in nigeria share his value system. They can do anything for money - without thinking about morality and when they amass so much wealth from criminal sources, they turn to mouth God later. They are emotional and can easily be deceived by religion, even though they claim to be smarter than everyone.
Hate is a religious languge in their place - they please their religion and god by hating others. You can see why trump is never wrong in their book even if he's killing people.
We're religious and backward because we think we can deceive God and, he knows what's in our hearts.

Only an uninformed person will write this.
Wanna know why Nigerians like Trump? Because the US under Trump are keeping our government on their toes and because we can see through CNN and MSNBC.

- If not for the US travel ban and restrictions, the Buhari government would have forced the social media bill on us. Just do a little research.

Now Obama.

- Within 8 years of his presidency, Obama destroyed Africa. Look at his handwork in Libya.

Don't also forget here in Nigeria - how a foreign president aligned with the opposition party to oust a thriving administration and bring in this calamity we have today.

- The same propaganda tactics that was used in 2015 to paint GEJ as evil, is the same thing happening in the US today. If you don't know that, I wonder what you know.

Here are some facts to help you know you wrote trash.
- The US economy was booming before Covid19, the democrats attributed it to Obama. The same Obama that declared that it will require a magic wand to bring jobs back?

- Now that there's 15% unemployment, it's Trump's fault. The May employment data that came out days ago caught them unawares, so they are looking for ways to discredit it.

- When Trump stopped flights from China - the media and democrats called him racist.

There are tweets from Schumer, and a video of Nancy pellosi asking people to come out for the Chinese New year.
Now the same Nancy wants to probe Trump's handling of Covid-19. Laughable, right?

- George Flyod was killed in a democrat state, by a democrat controlled police. The mayor and governor refused to press charges and allowed the culprit to go home.
Which resulted in these riots - but somehow Trump still gets the blame.

- Trump hasn't started any war since his presidency. He has brought Talibans to their knees. Kim is no longer shooting nuclear weapons daily.
But when he killed a terrorist leader, the media saif he wants to start world war 3.

Read. Don't just watch CNN.

Media houses are owned by humans, and ran by humans - so they can easily become bias.

Hello OP,

I fully understand your write up and agree to your point of hypocrisy in politicians especially in Nigeria.
But to be fair with Trump, he possess some characters that have earned him love especially in the heart of Nigerian Christians.

Truth is that the whole Christendom for some years has been thirsty of a political religious leader who will stand for Christianity in the face of persecution. This is more of a bigger clamour in the face of ever increasing and apprehensive violent Islam. To buttress this fact, we are all knowledgeable to the numerous bombing of Christian places of worships in Northern Nigeria by violent Boko Haram. On the other hand, Islam is mixed a lot with politics. Most Islamic politicians do not hide their belief in their religion and even go to any extent to implement its tenets. This is why you have government build mosques, sponsor pilgrimages and all that. Separation of religion and state is only seen mostly in Christian dominated regions of this world.

The effect of this is that even the leaders who emanate from Islam are all apprehensive to Christian religion. So the entire Christendom has been in fierce need of a world leader who can speak on their behalf and support their rights or more so defend their faith. This need is more pronounced in Nigeria where Christianity is growing very fast. This role earnestly fell in the hand of an American leader since America has a strong political influence around the world. Obama failed to play this role and as a matter of fact is not in anyway interested. Truth is that democrats do not consider this as a manifesto. Only republicans do. All from no where comes Trump who strongly identified with the popular need. During Obama administration, never a time have we seen Obama coming out clearly to condemn bombing of churches in Nigeria. When Buhari visited Trump, he made it very clear to him that killings of Christians in Nigeria should stop. First point. Again he stopped American sponsorship of LGBT in other countries. Second point. He also stopped American sponsorship of abortions in other countries. Third point. He returned the right of Christian prayers in American schools. Fourth point. He killed the world most dangerous terrorist and went further to destroy its group ISIS. Fifth point. He banned Muslims from countries with fanatic ideology from entering America and went further to threaten them should they try issues in other countries. Sixth point

These and many more that looks to help a Christian course is why Nigerian Christians support him. Not holding of bible or anything. Let me also clarify that points raised up there were never meant to express my hatred on Islam. Neither does it mean that Trump hates Islam. It simply means that he is standing up for a faith that looks endangered from all sense of its brother religion. Trump has never be seen supporting any action to the detriment of Islam. He is just fighting against radicals in the religion who hates Christianity and sees its existence as an abomination.

We are really thankful for that and just like you said, we Nigerians love religion a lot. Religions plays a good role in our existence. It is the very force that protects every other materials things existing. You have to be alive before you go to good school. And if we fail our religious consciousness, radicals and fanatics will take us out at any slightest opportunity.

If I may ask, how has the presidency of Trump in the US affected you negatively as a Nigerian? I will look at the international affairs angle because that's my own business.

That you don't like him as a person and his parrot mouth should not make you join the bandwagon and demonize him. Obama's only achievement outside killing Bin Laden is just being the first black man in the white house.

Obama was one of the reasons we couldn't defeat Boko Haram before it grew big and this tough. He's the reason why Libya is in ruins till this day.

Gay sympathizers like you and Obama can practise your homosexuality but don't go round the world trying to force the culture on us.

You are wise. The democrats quickly turned around to make it a 'protest against Trump presidency'. American opposition reminds of the APC Opposition (arrowed by Lai Mohammed) days. Lol

The @op, is being emotional.

Some people have been manipulated to hate Trump for no good reasons.

History and statistics shows that the black has benefited more from the Republicans than the Democrats. The Democrats were actually against the end of slave trade.

We experienced same thing in Nigeria, before PMB came in. It's the same evil spirit.

Those who claimed it was to early to open up their States for business to commence, are supporting protests with no social distancing.
