The Federal Government has approved two months hazard allowance for health workers battling the COVID-19 pandemic.

This was disclosed in a meeting between representatives of the Federal Government and Health Professional Associations, the Minister for Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, said the hazard allowance for the months of April and May would be paid before Friday, June 12, 2020.

To even think that health workers who have put their lives on the line battling this pandemic are yet to be paid hazard allowance since covid-19 came into Nigeria, is laughable to say the least.

Many have lost their lives in the field, what happened to their families and loved ones?

If it is this difficult to pay hazard allowance, then for the life insurance payment, it will be a lot easier for the Carmel to pass through the eye of the needle.
