Does it mean that people do not frequent the properties section like they do to the auto section?

It seems like no one knows the price for interlocking stones anymore.

Re: Bungalow by tunde57: 11:27pm On Feb 02, 2011
Could anyone please confirm the following price quoted for me as I am about to embark on a building project in Abeokuta, Ogun State

Cement - N1,800 per bag
9'' Block - N100
Gravel - N9,000
Sharp Sand - N9,000
Setting Sand - N5,000

I would want to know if these prices are reasonable or I am being ripped off.

Thank you all.

@cinzo,
Thanks very much.Yes! I av started infact the lintel was filled yesterday.I am trying to get the estimate for the logging wood and also the best roofing sheet that is pocket friendly, lol.Somene gave me a quotation of almost 600k for long span aluminium but thats way too much for my budget.

@tunde,
as for the sands it depends on the tonnes.as for i got 10 tonnes of sharp sands for 24k and soft for 15k in Ikorodu.The price for the block is reasonable 'cos it's around N140-150 in lagos.Concerning the cement i got mine from sagamu(Lafarge) for 1550/bag and 100/bag for transport.But i will say it really depends on what you want and what your budget is.Have a good day.

It might be slightly cheaper than what is obtainable in Lagos.

A truckload of quarried stone is said to be going for 40k. someone tell me it is not on the high side oh. Building is not easy at all. I am flat broke. Think I will take a break and continue when I must have recuperated from what I spent.
Re: Bungalow by RichDad1(m): 5:18pm On Feb 03, 2011
@cinzo,
It's only the roofing sheet.BTW,40k no be small money ooo.I will advise you to contact another supplier to confirm.as for i always ask 3 or more people when it comes to buying materials because you can never trust anyone.They always think anyone that embark on a building project is a billionaire already, smsh
Re: Bungalow by olubuffett: 5:19pm On Feb 03, 2011
@ Rich Dad

Is your site at ikorodu? if so can you give me the rough estimate for the foundation.
Re: Bungalow by RichDad1(m): 5:30pm On Feb 03, 2011
@Olubuffet,
Yes! But the foundation was done some years back(though i av to alter some of it now)But i think for a 3bedroom all ensuite on a plain surface here is my suggestion(Note:I am neither an architect, Bricklayer or an engineer)1 load of 10 tonnes granite/gravel(depends on ur pocket and choice)1load of10 tonnes sharp sand/soft.Minimun of 12 bags of cements.The labour shouldn't be more than 20k max.I hope this helps.
