Bar1941:You should be very far from the person that told you he was a good man, he was the opposite, he has virtually obliterated the opposition in Burundi, killing anybody that hold any form of resistance to his path, he was elected in 2005, got re-elected in 2010 and in 2015 he showed interest to run again but that was a move that is against the Burundi constitution, he amended the constitution and violence erupted, over 1200 Burundians were killed and over 400,000 left the country, most are refugees in Tanzania, he had many slaughter houses in Burundi where people are tortured and killed, an example was a BBC documentary on African Eye series in which a house in Bujumbura was seen to be emitting large quantity of blood into the gutter outside from the waste pipe, investigation showed that the house was one of the numerous houses used in silencing the opposition in Burundi, in 2018, Burundi was ranked the least happy place on earth in 2018 world happiness report. 2 Likes |
