The numbers don't add up.......and did those that died was it corona that killed them or did they die with corona?

The numbers do add up. The person quoted used misleading language, saying 53 others, when in fact the deceased are among the 53.
302 tested
-230 results received
=72 results pending

Out of the 230 results received, 53 were positive. The breakdown of the 53 positive results is thus:
9 dead
13 discharged (recovered)
+31 active cases
=53 positive cases

The average Anambra person on the streets don't even believe this Covid 19 stuff. They just wear their facemasks for fancy and to avoid harrassment from Willie taskforce. May God help Anambra state.

I wasn't at the Anambra morgue, so therefore cannot answer your question--whether covid was the direct cause, or a contributing factor, of their deaths.

Imagine, 302 tested, 230 results released, 53 came out positive, 13 discharged while 9 death was recorded. So by the time you hit 1m test in Anambra, ndi Anambra population of more than 50% might have died.

RIP to them, early detection could help curb the deaths, thats why I give kudos to organizations that stand up and help, an example is FCMB that is sponsoring the testing of 3,000 people in Ogun state to determine their COVID-19 status, imagine other companies are doing that in other states, our testing capacity would have increased and we could avoid certain deaths.

And to think Ogun is one of the most covid affected states in the country.

very true
shiftback:

Ogun being one of the most covid affected states in the country it's commendable to see FCMB coming in to assist. Imagine if all the banks were to do the same I'm sure we would have been seeing different numbers in terms of testing, recorded cases and deaths
