This country is full of clueless leaders, SARs and our policemen are killing boys every month, they keep harrasing people, but our government will keep mute to it. But this rape issue now them carry am for head because it affect women mostly. I'm not in anyway supporting rape, but the government should look into the SARS killing youths up and down.

But I don't understand, why the sudden spike in the number of rape cases in Nigeria?

Few days ago, I read it on nairaland that some 80 old men in Anambra raped their daughters.

Re: Governors Declare State Of Emergency On Rape In Nigeria by seborrhic: 6:27pm On Jun 11, 2020
Lockdown has a lot to do with it.
Some men that would have otherwise patronized prostitutes or busy drinking away their already troubled lives were unleashed on the Nigerian society by a poorly thought out lockdown
It also is the reason why there is also another crisis though not as headline grabbing as rape, domestic violence.
