The Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN has rehabilitated Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa (OAUSTECH)

The Governor who disclosed this via twitter account, explained that the University, formerly known as Ondo State University of Science and Technology, (OSUSTECH) had been abandoned for 8 years.

In his tweets, the Governor said "We met the Ondo State University of Science and Technology in a horrid state, completely abandoned for 8 years. Unperturbed, we set out to transform it. We have given it new life and a new name; Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Tech. #DevelopOndo"

In another tweet, Governor Akeredolu stated that education is essential to achieving growth and development in a state. The Governor, thereby promise that more will be done to achieve his administration's goal of building a technology institution recognised all over the world.

"Universities are great engine rooms for economic growth and development. Our work is not done. Plenty more to come. We will achieve our goal of building a Top Tier Technology institution recognized all over the world."

The only problem they have with him is that Aketi has changed Ondo State politics from sharing the state's resources by doing stomach infrastructures to bettering the lives of the people of the State and moving the state forward.

Largely speaking, Politicians who don’t see things that way are the ones who don’t share the same page with him.

Ask anyone among them why they don't like him, they'll have no tangible reason to give you.

Nah don't compare Obaseki with Aketi. Obaseki was fighting everyone including the State's lawmakers and Oshiomhole.

But in Ondo State, the lawmakers are solidly behind Aketi and they're the ones that contributed money to buy APC nomination form for him. Also Aketi does not have any issue with the APC NWC or Oshiomhole.

Even Oshiomhole said it recently that Aketi is doing well.

Thanks for the info. I know next to nothing about Ondo politics. But why is the deputy governor against him? I understand the deputy gov9is trying to defect to PDP to contest against Aketi

They should just turn it to a Conventional University with lesser fees to AAUA.

This is highly commendable. Let your work also speak and campaign for you not crying foul play upandown when you are denied ticket by the ruling party. Up till date, Obaseki hasn't campaigned with any of his projects in Edo
