Technology for Social Change and Development Initiative (Tech4Dev) is a non-profit social enterprise established in 2016 that creates access to decent work and opportunities for Africans through digital skills empowerment and advocacy.


They currently need volunteers for their Advocacy Drive project happening in 22 Countries in Africa.

The Tech Girls Advocacy Drive is an onsite grassroot advocacy under the Women Techsters initiative designed to create awareness and spur the interest of young girls between the ages of 8 – 20 years to take up careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

In commemoration of this year’s International Day of The Girl Child (IDOGC), Tech4Dev would be contributing to the success of the international day of the girl child by hosting an advocacy program that would aim to bridge the gap between girls and boys in STEM Education.

The drive would run from Wednesday 11th of October 2023 to Wednesday 31st October 2023 across 22 African Countries.

You can volunteer with them in the following categories.

📌Advocate: Host grassroot advocacy in your community either in a school or religious association.
📌Mentor: Sign up to accompany a team as a Mentor, this entails speaking to young girls on your career as a woman in Tech and inspiring them with your achievements
📌Photographer: Assist advocates in your location and take pictures of advocacy.
📌Videographer: Work with the videography team to create a storytelling video for the Tech Girls Drive Advocacy
📌Organization: Partner with them to host an advocacy drive in your community, sponsor merch items or fund an advocacy drive.
