If he did it, I really hope a thorough and transparent investigation will be conducted this time around. Nigeria needs a poster child of punishment for rape. It is soooo soooo scary to think that it is this widespread. And I believe the reason why it is this much is because no one is getting punished, and in few cases where the victim manage to bravely speak up it is often submerged under the silly cultural practice of accepting a 'sorry' and perhaps some few coins as sufficient reparation.

No more sorry-s. No more apologies. We need the criminals removed permanently from amidst us.

i can tell you that Dbanj is guilty as accussed but the lady has no case,she just cant prove it when subjected to judicial scrutiny.
I pray the lawyer can lay his hand on the cctv camera showing Dbanjs visit the said night.

Well,in as much as the story is touching.. The law doesn't work by sentiments.. He who asserts must prove .. If she can prove it,let him face the music but if she can't let her take heart if it actually happened..

But why didn't she shout since that could have alerted everyone around?
Can hotels give out a spare key to an already occupied room ?

It’s the sickest thing. I think all the police officers involved in that arrest should be sacked. Shame on Nigerian police. They won’t stop doing houseboy work and they wonder why Nigerians don’t respect them. They don’t even know their work and got no respect for themselves. Nigerian police need to be sanitized and their oga sacked. It’s like he doesn’t know what he is doing and police generally lack training.

They don’t even know why they are police and what police officers can do. How can police arrest someone and detain without a court order? All they can do is invite for questioning and release the person immediately after. Or as soon as the person says they want their lawyer.

I think Dbanj is very guilty and is acting highly unstable and erratic. Can you imagine small D’banj who sells koko garri can pull this off. Imagine what a politician will do. Nigerian police fear God because it might be you or your family members tomorrow!

rape is an underreported crime. most big men and their children are rapists. often , cases are settled with or without police involvement to protect family reputation.
murder cases are even worrisome. with 500k upward and due compensation to the family of deceased, police will bury murder case. DPP offices in many states are not functioning. corruption is rampant. there is no justice in this country.
