Now when some christians raise this issues, you hear some other spirikoko christians opposing them because they believe it is a platform to reach out to athiests and that as christians we should expect persecution ... my question to those christians is ...don't u know that there are baby christians who come here to seek answers to their genuine questions? and rather than get edifying answers, what they see is discouraging and blasphemous comments..you that is calling it Godly persecution why don't you go to borno state so that you can experience real persecution from boko haram.

Then some christians will even join these atheists in criticizing other christians just because of their doctrinal and denomination difference, and that is something you can never see Muslims doing. I know there is a large amount of christians on this forum but we can never get the respect we deserve until we unite and demand for it.

If you think for one minute that what Jesus Christ meant for you to do as His follower is separate yourself from "the world", i can right now tell you say you don miss road.

Jesus Christ called us all to become like children, and you know how children are? They are nosy, inquisitive, curious, accepting of others...open-minded. Yes, Jesus called us to become open-minded in the way we live, treat others, act about and around others. So if what you read affects your faith "negatively", know that what you read is not to blame... you are.

Remember what Jesus said about sin and it's cause - none of it comes from without but from within. If you think putting a wall around you to supposedly block out that which you blame for your faith issues is going to help you, think again. All you will end up doing is walling yourself in with the problem still there.
Why else do you think people within your church walls find it hard still to live above sin.. to overcome even the easiest sins like sexual immorality?

I understand what you're trying to say, but what you don't understand is that the religious thread is not only Christians that create threads, Muslims and finally the atheist. I advise you to follow righteousness 89 if you're a baby Christian. When you create a thread its then you'll understand how it works. Once you create a thread expects different people to read what you post and their ideas might be different from what you expect to see. the problem with 2day,s church is that they reject any form of critiscm even if it is constructive, well I,m not going to argue or comment anymore..if u enjoy seeing the bashing and insultive comments from atheists on christian threads on the front page, then no problem..all I was only suggesting was that we get our own section with christian moderators, like our Muslim broda,s did...as for me anytime I see such threads I will just move on, since a lot of christians like it like that

We can never be United in the True Doctrines of God, which The Lord Taught us, for Among Us, there Must be Those Who are with Us But Not of Us.

You need to read with your eyes open. From Jesus's response, you will see that He in fact spoke, in addition, of where the bad in us comes from.

From the much I have learned of the "spiritual" types, they tend to think that walling themselves some more in their churches is the way to grow, and they ignore the fact that this stands in contradiction to Jesus Christ's own commandment to all His followers.

Nobody is perfect yet? But the commandment is to be perfect so there is no excuse not to be as perfect as you can be every moment of every day, right?
If I shouted out the command, "stand up", I mean you should stand up. I don't mean "Try to stand up".Nor do I mean " gradually bring yourself to a standing position". I mean "stand the F***k up".
So, since it is possible to love your neighbor, and your enemy, even as you love your own self, why CHOOSE at any given time to hate your enemy at all, when that is contrary to what is commanded of you? I believe the key is in knowing to choose to obey the commandment every single time you are aware.

Never have, and people have done some really mean shit to me in my time, so don't go assuming I have had it all good or something. I actually don't read the Bible every day like you pretend or think I ought to. For you see, my main source is not a bible but the Spirit of God who lives inside of me. He even gets me graphic novels, movies and so many other things to watch instead.
Let the Spirit lead and He will take care of you all the way....

Jesus Christ commanded that in the case of someone who does such, you treat him/her like a pagan - in our time, we call the cops on such people.
You have to understand, that Jesus Christ provided an answer for every case. Rather than continuing to try to beat at it on your own, why not look instead towards surrendering to His lead and let Him do it for you, that which He said He will?
