The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has reaffirmed that no member of its National Working Committee (NWC) sponsored any media publication to tannish the image of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.



PDP explained that such publications is the handwork of mischief makers and its enemies who will stop at nothing but seeing that the party falls into crisis.



The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan also insisted that members of the party’s NWC are not tax collectors.



The comments from PDP is in reaction to Wike’s decision to exempt himself from the reconciliation efforts in its Edo State Chapter.

Recall that Wike had accused some members of PDP’s NWC of being sycophants and tax collectors who will always be liers.
Addressing journalists in Port Harcourt, the governor had said, instead of the NWC to make sure all in captured along in Edo state, they rather moved to use the media to blackmail him.
