After weeks of close negotiations, Arsenal have reached an agreement with David Luiz to extend his contract for one year.

I reported last week that Mikel Arteta was keen on extending the current deals of David Luiz and Aubameyang.

Strong internal sources at the Emirates confirm that Arteta still maintains this resolve and is hoping to an agreement will be reached soon.

Talks are currently ongoing between Arsenal, Aubameyang and Arteta who's "very close" to the player.

According to reports, Arsenal have concluded a £13.5million deal for Pablo Mari, Flamengo Vice-President Marcos Braz, already confirmed that the deal is done but Arsenal cannot announce it yet as there are a few things left to done.

As per reports from Bild, Atletico Madrid are hoping to sign Mario Gotze for free when his contract expires at Borussia Dortmund.

The German attacker currently earns around €10million per year but it is unknown if the Spanish club will be willing to pay that much for his services.


Chelsea have agreed new short-term deals for Willian and Pedro that will see the duo remain at the club until the end of this season. Frank Lampard will have the services of both players for the remainder of their Premier League, FA cup and Champions League campaign.
