The family of Olamide who was murdered in the Lekki popular suicide case has refuted claims that the paternity of one of their kids was what led to the fracas and subsequent death of the lovers.

Recall that reports emerged on Sunday, June 21 that a man stabbed his fiancee, Olamide and thereafter committed suicide in their home in Victory Park Estate, Lagos State.

The Street Journal gathered that the duo were not married as being speculated but had two kids together.

The sad incident came to light on Sunday afternoon, after neighbours close to their apartment complained of the very loud music coming from their home. The music reportedly lasted for many hours.

After neighbours complained to the estate officials to caution Olamide and her fiance; the officials, however, met with the wife's sister who was downstairs with the couple's children.

The sister who then went upstairs to tell the couple to turn down the music did not get any response after knocking severally.

After Olamide's sister and the estate officials opted to break down the door, they met the horrible sight.

Many believe that the murder was premeditated because after stabbing Olamide, he committed suicide by consuming a toxic liquid called Snipper.
