The Special Assistant to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmaad, has given reasons the National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will not attend Thursday’s National Executive Committee meeting.

According to him, Tinubu is not a member of the party’s NEC.

“There are some people who need to know that the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is not a member of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Party, hence, he doesn’t attend the NEC Meetings. This is very clear!” Ahmaad tweeted late on Wednesday night.

The NEC meeting will be convened by Victor Giadom, who is fighting to be acting National Chairman of the APC.

Giadom has been publicly backed by President Muhammadu Buhari, who himself will be present at the virtual meeting.

The party’s National Working Committee (NWC) has however made it clear they plan to boycott the meeting, as it will amount to “embracing illegalities and turning a blind eye to the infractions on the constitution of the party”.

Tinubus is over hyped in the west.He is not in charge in Ekiti,Oyo and Ondo.Even if all the States leave and a nice offer is thrown at the south south and south east they will align immediately.

When they gave him the position of 'national leader', a position that has absolutely no constitutional backing in APC, we pointed it out, and told them that Tinubu has been sidelined tactically; they called us all sorts of derogatory names. Now, what is happening? They are now the ones wailing and gnashing their teeth.


Tinubu cannot even attend a meeting that will decide his political fate. He'll be in oshodi shouting owo da owo da, while High chief, Victor Giadom is in Aso Rock taking decisions on Tinubu and oshiomhole's political fate.

All due respect was given to Tinubu, the Governors in their entourage went to him, not to plead, but to relay their wish to him as a leader, he failed to see the clue.. he could have taken all glory if only they had their way.. The news could have read "Jagaban saves the day again" ...

we would not blame him, he saw oshiomole in same shoes like he was with Ambode, but the Governors only saw a Godfather clipping wings and more power could put them in Ambode/Obaseki shoes in the future.. now they have tasted the waters and have seen they can swim through it with even more and better support from the people..
