The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, has announced 649 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 22,020. 9 new deaths were recorded along with 275 recoveries; Lagos State topped the list. The 649 new cases are reported from 22 states: Lagos-250 Oyo-100 Plateau-40 Delta-40 Abia-28 Kaduna-27 Ogun-22 Edo-20 Akwa Ibom-18 Kwara-17 FCT-17 Enugu-14 Niger-13 Adamawa-13 Bayelsa-7 Osun-6 Bauchi-6 Anambra-4 Gombe-3 Sokoto-2 Imo-1 Kano-1. The breakdown in the tweet of NCDC shows that the 649 cases were from 22 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 250. Oyo State followed with 100 while the Plateau State had 40. 275 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 7613 from 7338. There were 9 new deaths. Find the breakdown below:
