That the Sokoto Caliphate is headed by a Fulani is a fact. It is also established that only Muslims of Fulani descent can ascend the throne of Sultan of Sokoto. The Sultanate is more political than religious from the antecedents of the occupiers of the throne. We should also not forget that Sokoto Caliphate is a symbol of conquest by the Fulani. And finally the Caliphate is a pride of the Fulani ethnic nationality.

However we should not forget that the influence of the Caliphate does not extend beyond the localities of the Fulani. In other words the Caliphate is not expected to dictate to other ethnic nationalities outside the Fulani zones. Doing so will be tantamount to pursuing the greater Fulani agenda of subduing non - Fulani living outside the Fulani ethnic zones.

Surprisingly, the Caliphate is not relenting in the battle to dominate the non - Fulani. To achieve this hegemonic agenda, the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs was created. The office of president- general is the highest position in the body and is perpetually reserved for the Sultan who is a Fulani. A non - Fulani can not be Sultan. And since only the Sultan of Sokoto can be the president - general, it then follows that only a Fulani can head the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.

O mankind, your Lord is One and your father is one. You all descended from Aadam, and Aadam was created from earth. He is most honored among you in the sight of God who is most upright. No Arab is superior to a non-Arab, no colored person to a white person, or a white person to a colored person except by Taqwa
(piety)." [Ahmad and At-Tirmithi ]

The above quotation is in support of the fact a Fulani does not have to head the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs. And as a result the League of Imam and Alfas in Western region was created to affirm the equality of mankind.
Therefore Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs should change its name to Fulani Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs since only persons of Fulani descent can head it.

You don't have to accept a fact because it will naturally validate itself. The wind of change is blowing and you have to live with it.
