2.His grand father was Sobaloju of ibadan(a chief in the Royal court of ibadan).

3.Ajimobi's university education was in the United State of America where He studied business administration and finance at the state University of New York.

4.He was formally the managing director/chief Executive officer(CEO) of the National oil and chemical marketing company.

5.He left oil sector in 2002 after 26 good years and was elected in 2003 as a Senator of the Republic of Nigeria representing Oyo south senatorial district.
