The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, has announced 779 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 24,077. 4 new deaths were recorded along with 372 recoveries; Lagos State topped the list.

The 779 new cases are reported from 22 states- Lagos (285), Rivers(68), FCT(60), Edo(60), Enugu(56), Delta(47), Ebonyi(42), Oyo(41), Kaduna(19), Ogun(18), Ondo(16), Imo(12), Sokoto(11), Borno(9), Nasarawa(, Abia(5), Gombe(5), Kebbi(5), Kano (4), Yobe (3), Ekiti(3), Osun(2).

The breakdown in the tweet of NCDC shows that the 779 cases were from 22 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 285. Rivers State followed with 68 while the Federal Capital Territory and Edo State both had 60. 372 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 8625 from 8253. There were 4 new deaths.
