Police Take Over Ajimobi’s Residence In Ibadan by oshozondii: 11:06am On Jun 28, 2020
Policemen attached to the Oyo State Command have taken over the Agodi GRA residence of deceased Ex-Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

The property, which was the preferred family choice to bury the late Governor, was not approved by the State Government due to ligitation over ownership.

When The Nation visited the place, two police vehicles, a Hilux patrol van of the State Anticrime outfit, Operation Burst and a white Kia Rio used for State Security patrol were parked beside the building with stern- looking security operatives.

Sources hinted that sending security operatives to man the property may not be unconnected with the controversy trailing the land as the preferred choice of the family to bury the deceased Governor.

The sources added the security could be there to prevent any possible disobedience or likely forceful entry into the property by the family or close associates of the former Governor.

Efforts to reach the Police Command’s Spokesperson, Mr Olugbenga Fadeyi, a Superintendent of Police, proved abortive.

Calls and text message sent to his phone were yet to be returned as at the time of filling this report.

The governor didn't allow his family to bury him at his Agodi residence because of a litigation on the land.

He should be buried so we can now return to our struggles.....

But I hope Tinubu will get another plan to reclaim his influence in the party as his plans to use this man to hold on to the party influence through Oshiomole failed him....

Exactly my thought. Besides there will be police presence if a man like Ajimobi is to be buried. 2 or 3 vehicles does not mean police have "taken over".

News based on personal assumptions.

Op, you forgot the family may be planning to move into that house at this grieving period? You forgot the current governor is not wicked to the extent of chasing the family out of the property for now?

Let's beware of what we spread at this period of time when the former 1st family in the state is grieving
