NNDC HISTORY/CORPORATE PROFILE

The New Nigeria Development Company Limited (NNDC) was established in 1949 as a statutory Corporation named, the Northern Regional Production Development Board (NRPDB) to contribute to the economic development of the then Northern Region of Nigeria. In 1956, the NRPDB was reconstituted into the Northern Region Development Corporation (NRDC). In 1960, with the achievement of self-government, the organization’s name was further changed to Northern Nigeria Development Corporation (NNDC). It was incorporated on the 12th day of October 1965 under the Companies Act (CAP. 37) 1958.

New Nigeria Development Company (NNDC) is a conglomerate owned by the 19 Northern States of Nigeria. It has interests in Agriculture, Textile, Solid Minerals, Oil & Gas, Capital Markets, Hospitality, Mining, Telecommunications among other business fields.

Job Title: Management Trainee (Finance)

Job Description
• After a highly competitive selection process, successful candidates will undergo a systematic and broad-based training programme involving projects and experiential attachments for 12 months within our Finance Division. At the end of the training, successful candidates will be appointed to management positions in our company.

Job Requirements
The ideal candidates should possess the following:
• Minimum of Five (5) credit grades in WASC/GCE/SSCE including Maths, English and 3 other relevant subjects obtained in one sitting.
• Completion of NYSC, not earlier than January 2010.
• Maximum of two years work experience.
• Digital agility
• Geographical mobility within and outside Nigeria.
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of Second Class Honours OR HND in any of the Finance disciplines listed below:
o Statistics
o Economics
o Actuarial science
o Banking and Finance
o Finance Management
o Economics and Finance
o Accounting and Finance
o Business Analysis and Finance
o Mathematic, Accounting and Finance
o Accounting and Management
o Finance and Investment Banking
o PGD or Masters degree in any Management discipline (Added advantage).

Job Description
• This position is an integral part of the New Nigeria Development company’s Graduate Management Development Scheme, which targets young Engineers who are desirous of an Engineering career in a conducive engineering environment with best – in – class systems and processes.
• After a highly competitive selection process, successful candidates will undergo:
o A 12-month residential modular training programme
o A formal training and experiential attachments in our industries.
• At the end of the training, the successful candidates will be appointed as Shift Manager-Packaging in any of our industries across Nigeria.

Job Requirements
The ideal candidates should possess the following:
• Minimum of Five (5) credit grades in WASC/GCE/SSCE including Maths, English and 3 other relevant subjects obtained in one sitting.
