The best strategy, for me, to solve any problem, is to know the truth about the nature of the problem. However, day after day, week after week and month after month, our collective mind is being swayed from one confusing issue to another, without any tangible resolution, pinning us one against another. COVID-19 will wipe us all out vs it is just a flu, lockdown of the entire population vs protecting the most vulnerable, hand washing kills the virus vs everyone has to get vaccinated if we want to survive, stay 6 feet apart to stay alive vs everyone got to be vaccinated if we want to survive, wearing a mask to save your life vs wearing a mask to save other people's live (it doesn't matter if you are healthy), essential services (liquor stores) vs non-essential services (small mom & pop shops), the world vs China, APC vs PDP, Oshomohle vs Obaseki, APC vs Oshomohle, Giadom factions vs
Tinubu's faction. Wike vs some PDP leaders. Buhari vs insecurity. The North vs South. The senator's vs ministers. Igbo vs Yorubas, Yoruba vs Hausas, minorities vs majorities, Banks vs customers, Sars vs yahoo guys. Sars vs extortion, Christians vs Moslems whites vs blacks, police vs blacks, police vs protestors, black life matters vs all life matters, democrats vs republicans, black democrats vs black republicans, white racists vs white privilege, mass media vs conspiracy theorists... The last months we have all been busy jumping to conclusion, running in vicious circles, jumping at each other's throats... Meanwhile what problems have we solved? If any problems have been solved by all of this, can we please clearly know what and throw some kind of party to celebrate the good news? Or is the purpose of all this is jumping from one problem to the next without solving anything and making sure we live in a constant state of fear? That's what i want to know.
