The Akwa Ibom State Police Command amid the rising cases of COVID-19 has mandated the use of face masks in public places in the state. The Police Public Relations Officer CSP Frederick Nnudam, who spoke on behalf of the Commissioner, CP Imohimi Edgal in a Statement on Tuesday confirmed the report. Nnudam stated that the state government has mandated all the Divisional Police Officers, DPOs and other members of the Enforcement Committee to carry out arrest and prosecute offenders.
