National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), maintained that a national disaster has been declared in six states of the country namely; Kogi, Niger, Anambra, Bornu, Delta and Benue in the previous year back.



Kogi, Niger and Benue are states located in the north central with the Africa's third-longest river, making it particularly vulnerable. While Akwa-Ibom and Bayelsa of the southern region suffers both natural and artifact disasters. In the 19th century, the highest flood ever witnessed was the 1969 floods during the Nigerian civil war, followed by that of 2012,1996 and the recent one of 2018.

What May Likely Take Place In July 2020
Base on analytical research, it is predicted that these event will likely take place on the months of July 2020.

1. Lagos state will likely experience massive flood which may affect individuals business and even homes.



2. There will be a serious rising of fever in Jos, Lagos, Kaduna and Abuja because of the climatic change which may not be suitable for so many people.

3. Delta may experience oil spillage this month due to improper maintenance of equipment



4. So many individuals will loose their job due to health factor affecting the Economy.



The Basic Solution For This
1. There should be long term plan on disasters management.

2. There should be a specific allocation for disasters management from the federation accounts.

3. Dredging of the shallow rivers and its tributaries is essential to deepen the banks.

4. Internally displaced camps should be built across the flood prone areas with good shore

protections before time.

5. Good drainage system should be built across the flooding area.
