The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has released a fresh update on the new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) recorded in Nigeria on Thursday 2nd July, 2020.

The health management centre made this known in a tweet via it verified Twitter handle @NCDCgov, where it announced that Nigeria recorded 616 (six hundred and sixteen) new cases of the novel Coronavirus within the space of 24 hours.

According to the centre, a total of 649 infected patients at the isolation centres tested negative for the virus and were discharged, and a total of 13 new death cases were recorded in the country within same 24 hours.

The NCDC tweeted;
