Hello People,

Just in case you are yet to know, Telegram in one, if not its latest update introduced a feature that gives either party of a conversation the option of deleting the conversation from both ends without the consent of the other party.

For example, Mr. A met Mr. B online. They both decided to have a business deal where Mr. A is the customer and Mr. B is the service provider.
Unfortunately, it turns out that Mr. B is a scammer/fraudster. After receiving money from Mr. A, all he had to do in the past was to block Mr. A so as not to get in touch with him, but with this Telegram's new feature he can even go further and erase all the chat he has had with Mr. A from both ends. i.e from his phone and that of Mr. A (completely with no option of backup or recovery). Even without Mr. A's consent. Leaving Mr. A with little to no evidence to show they ever had any dealing. Since the statement of account accounts records will not state the reason or proof there was unfinished business between both parties. Leaving Mr. A at a position of his words against that of Mr. B.

Though, there's been a mixed reaction about this update from telegram users. But many find it offensive and one quite rightly stated: 'a breach on one's right of consent ', another; 'Bye-bye consent'.

From my experience, this feature have been greatly exploited by fraudsters and scammers alike to clean conversations they had with their victims so as to have little to nothing to worry about should incase they get arrested.

So, in a nutshell, if you intend to make/have any business transaction with anyone via social media, it will be in your own best interest to avoid Telegram. Because if it turns out the person you are dealing with is a thief be sure that those messages/conversations you are having with him/her available will not be available for use as evidence after he gets your money.

Telegram is being hijacked by fraudsters. It's there you'll see all these double double fake investment schemes. In a way, WhatsApp is more secure.
