olumikom: Unfortunately, the Rover 75, unlike the Rover 600 it replaced, was never available with the Honda engine. It was only available with the Rover K-series petrol engines, in 1,8L I4, 2,0L and 2,5L V6 form. There was a 2,0L turbodiesel, which was the same engine used in the BMW 320 / 520D. Personally, I'd advice anyone not mechanically-minded to avoid the Rover 75, the K-series was one of the worst engines Rover produced till they went bust in 2005. The weak point was the cylinder heads, which tend to go porous, and blow head gaskets. A head gasket job generally entails a cylinder head replacement too! |
