Ondo State Assembly has commenced the impeachment process of the Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi.

The members of the Assembly are currently deliberating in the Assembly on the allegation of gross misconduct against Ajayi.

On the premises of the Assembly, scores of armed policemen and the men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) are present to maintain the law and order.

This comes few weeks after Ajayi defected from All Progressive Congress (APC) to Peoples Democratic Party Party (PDP) rumoured move to contest for governorship against Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
