....As the VC, Prof. Eze commends the gesture.

8th July 2020 marked yet another remarkable day to cheer within the FUTO Community in its entirety as two different teams separately comprising staff and students of the revered University presented two distinct mechanical ventilators to the Management of the institution ably led by Prof. Francis Chukwuemeka Eze, FNIP in their effort to combat the deep-rooted dreaded Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic that is bedeviling the global human race.

Upon the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Management under the watch of the Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof. F. C. Eze thought it wise to assemble a team of staff of the University that could assist the University in manufacturing a set of ventilators.

The team, therefore, was duly funded by the institution. The Management did not relent in providing every needed support and encouragement, despite the challenges, to ensure the team delivered as expected.
The members of the team of staff are: Engr. Prof. N. V. Ogueke, Engr. Dr. Godswill Nwaji, Engr. Boniface Okonkwo and Engr. Samuel Ehujuo who are of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics departments.

In his presentation, the Team Leader, Engr. Prof. Ogueke took time to highlight the parameters that made up their own product. He disclosed that the gadget could best be described as Quantum-Mechanical Ventilator.

On the part of the students' team comprising Isaac Uchechukwu Edmund and Ebulue Ifeanyichukwu Henry, their product was designed with variable parameters which are essential, towards ensuring its suitability for all kinds of individuals or patients.
