Tottenham will get RELEGATED next season if Jose Mourinho stays on as manager, talkSPORT has been told.

The quite astonishing claim, made by Spurs supporter Lee on Friday’s Drivetime, had Adrian Durham pretty much lost for words – and that is some feat in itself!

It been a difficult season, on and off the field, for the north London side who appointed Mourinho as Mauricio Pochettino’s successor in November 2019.

Mourinho has a huge job on his hands to turn around Tottenham’s fortunes, who lie ninth in the Premier League with four games remaining of the 2019/20 campaign.

But Lee has already had enough of Mourinho – and wants him to be sacked!

“People say to me you’ve got to give this Mourinho a season,” Lee began.

“And I say to them: ‘You give this man a season and we will get relegated’.

“And that Tottenham team is not up for a relegation battle, as they’re not up for a fight. They’re absolutely soulless.”

When quizzed by Adrian Durham whether or not it was next season he was predicting Spurs to drop to the second tier, he responded: “If we stick with Mourinho. Look how we’re playing. Come on boys.”
Mourinho’s men have the small matter of a north London derby against Arsenal next up on Sunday, before a trip to Steve Bruce’s Newcastle three days later.
